The Immersive Creative Virtual Hub

As some of you might already know, Back in 2008 I founded one of the most successful & trend-setting fashion labels in a virtual world called: Second Life (tm): Violator by Soraya Vaher.

I wish to share with you my thoughts over such an emancipating and deep experience which has been the founding experience for my creativity, art and mindset.      

Soraya Vaher, my alter ego and avatar belongs to the second wave of content creators and pioneers of Secondlife (tm). The years between 2007 - 2011 has been the most immersive and creative period in SL history. I remember, when I first started learning how to build fashion and my very first tentacle in-world, going to public sandboxes where you could see creators of all kinds learning, testing, trying, experimenting and eventually building with the techniques, freedom and restrictions of the interface. It was madness, pure mind-blowing science fiction.

I am still shivering when I think of that. What I felt was the power of an immersive creative hub, communion and harmony.

I guess.. all those creators were most probably screaming and crying of frustration (as I was) while smoking, in front of the screen. It was pretty difficult to learn how to use the interface and on top of it to apply your own creative vision that madness often knocked at the door of sanity. If you ever ask yourself what "immersive science fiction" or "unimatrix zero" might be... that was...
